Our story

Born and raised in Nicaragua, I am the oldest of five and have always been a self-starter. From a young age, I found joy in creating, drawing, and building things. In 2000, I made the courageous decision to move to the United States with limited English but a heart full of aspirations. Despite my initial dream of becoming a dentist, I found myself thriving in the orthodontic field, where I have dedicated 15 years of my life. The inception of Moonchild Events stemmed from a whimsical idea to host my sister-in-law's bridal shower, which led me to transform a simple gathering into a visually stunning event. As a self-taught individual, I thrive on learning through videos, research, and hands-on practice. Crafting my own backdrops, candy carts, and cake pedestals has become a passion of mine, showcasing my dedication to creating memorable experiences.

Embarking on the journey of creating luxury picnics was an idea that sparked my interest, especially as it gained popularity. However, as with many ventures, things didn't unfold exactly as I had envisioned. Balloons, initially not my cup of tea, presented a challenge that I was hesitant to tackle. The intricate work involved in DIY balloon arrangements can truly test one's patience! Yet, driven by client requests, I found myself delving into the world of balloon artistry. Through endless hours of scouring social media for inspiration and absorbing tips from countless videos, I discovered a newfound appreciation for the craft and mastered some clever tricks along the way. Who knew that what once seemed daunting would become a delightful skill to add to my repertoire?
